Take the Love of Christ with you every day!
- Create ancillary programs, support groups, and recreation centers for members of the community and the congregation.
- Provide a broad range of assistance to enhance the current circumstances of the homeless and famished members of the community.
- Take telephone calls from applicants that have heard of the program and needs screening prior to making the services available.
- The organization’s founder and administrative staff will establish collaborative partnerships with services, agencies, and stores needed to support the needs of the extended programs to support each person that comes with a specific need.
The executive board and members will meet at least once a month. A typical meeting will include discussing the vision and mission of the church and all future programs, the goals and objectives of the program in the start-up and beyond, sharing of new ideas and concepts for successful and sustainable programs. The church and its start up programs are currently being funded primarily out of the pocket of the founder, personal solicitations, and occasional in-kind contributions from members of the congregation and community. It is now time to solicit donor support from state, federal, local, corporate, and personal charitable contributions in order to move forward in accomplishing the vision for Church of God Baptist.
Section 501 (c) (3) of the IRS code provides tax exemption for groups organized primarily charitable and educational purposes. By providing services that are so badly needed in the lives of the community in inner-city Detroit, MI., Church of God Baptist will clearly be engaged in charitable activities that are vital to the community in which it is incorporated.
